They are suitable for smaller sites where regular, manual access to each emergency luminaire is possible.

Standard systems should only be used where it is possible to ensure the system can be maintained in compliance with the British Standards by regular testing, test result logging and maintenance.

Testing of a standard system should be carried out via a key switch or similar, which simulates a mains power to the luminaire circuit enabling you to test the operation and duration of the self-contained luminaire.
