Beghelli Lighting products use UV-C light sources that irradiate the volume of air treated with enough energy to break down up to 99.9% of microorganisms. Efficacy tests were carried out in accordance with international standard ISO 15714:
Method of evaluating the UV dose to airborne microorganisms transiting in-duct ultraviolet germicidal irradiation devices.
Tests were performed by Gelt International, a scientific consulting company, and Tecnal, a UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 accredited laboratory. Various organisms such as Serratia marcescens, Bacillus subtilis and Cladosporium sphaerospermum were tested, as they are particularly resistant to UV rays.
Their reduction was measured at more than 99.9%.
The product effectively breaks down a broad range of bacteria, viruses, coronaviruses and other microorganisms. This product is classified according to IEC 60335-2-65 standard for air purifiers.
